Free Museum Thursdays

The Houston Museum District offers free museum times on Thursdays.  If you don't mind searching for a parking spot or dealing with potential crowds, then this is a great time to explore our museums at no cost to you.  I recommend that you plan to get to the museums early so that you have plenty of time to find a parking spot and get to the museum in time for their free opportunities.  Some of the museums change their hours during different seasons so it's a good idea to check their website before you go.

There are 7 museums that offer free times:

  1. Buffalo Soldiers National Museum  (FREE Thursday 1-5pm)
  2. Children’s Museum of Houston  (FREE Thursday 5-8pm)
