Home Depot offer a free Build & Grow Workshop for children on the first Saturday of each month. The website recommends ages 5 and over, but they allow children younger. I started to bring my son when he was only two years old, but he needed assistance with the projects. The workshops are a great way for your child to learn how to build, use tools and create.
Home Depot Kids Workshops
Your local Home Depot Store
the first Saturday of each month
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The workshop activity changes each week. They offer hands-on workshops and building activities that are perfect for your little helper.
The website recommends ages 5 years and older. They allow children of all ages. If your children are younger, then you may have to help your child with the activity.
Your child will receive an activity (featured that month), a Home Depot Workshop apron, a free certificate of achievement, and a commemorative pin. All supplies are free. They are passed out until they run out of supplies.
It is recommended that you register online before the workshop. The rules of the workshops vary from location to location. Some stores allow you to attend the workshops without a reservation. I would encourage you to check in with your local store to see what their policy is for the workshops.
