Main Street Park @ the First Methodist Church Downtown
The Main Street Park at the First Methodist Church Downtown is a great place to take your children to play. It's a free play place indoors that is great for a small play group or group of friends.
The play area is free to the public at the Main Street Park at the First Methodist Church in Downtown Houston on Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The area will comfortably fit small play groups. Your children will enjoy the play area and train structure.
They open a classroom up the public so that you can enjoy a snack, your lunch, or even do crafts with your kids. In my opinion, this play area is best suited for younger children. The website recommends that age limit of five and under. We have played there many times and enjoyed it. I often bring a few toys and balls for extra entertainment.
You do not need to make a reservation, but you can if you wish. You can contact Nydia Quant at 832-668-1812 to arrange a visit. Parking is a little tricky so be careful when you park. There is free parking for all guests, but you must park in a reserved spot. I recommend that you tell the front desk where you parked to ensure that you have properly parked in one of their spots.
