Moeller's Bakery

Moeller's Bakery

Moeller's Bakery is the place to go for petit fours, desserts, and kid's tours in Houston.  Your family will love this Houston bakery, and you're sure to return once you try their amazing products.  If you're lucky, you'll get a spot at one of their children's tours.  Kid Fun offers several tours throughout the year so keep an eye out for the sign up links.

Petit Fours:

When I moved to Houston, I quickly learned that Moeller's Bakery was the "go to" spot for petit fours.  Any time that I hosted a wedding shower or baby shower, it was a given that I would get petit fours from Moeller's Bakery.  I learned about the bakery from my dear friends at the Junior League of Houston.  I am so glad that I listened to their advice.  The petit fours at Moeller's Bakery, and they are always a crowd pleaser.

The Bakery:

Moeller's Bakery is located at 4201 Bellaire Blvd just a few minutes from 610.  They are open on Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sundays.   There are many bakeries in the area, but people drive from all over to go to Moeller's.  The bakery is great for a pop in visit or for a special event such as a birthday party, Baptism, shower, etc.

Moeller's Bakery has pretty much everything that you would expect to see at a bakery.  They sell cakes, cookies, and all sorts of sweet treats.  The bakery takes pride on making all products from scratch.  For my birthday last week, I had a cake with almond.  It is now my favorite item there.  It was delicious, and it tasted like a wedding cake.

Kid's Tours:

When Kid Fun started, I knew that Moeller's Bakery was a business that I wanted as a partner.  My kids love to bake and explore in the kitchen.  I knew that my kids and other kids would enjoy a "behind the scenes" experience there. I contacted James, the store manager, and arranged our first event.  The kids wore chef hats and aprons, toured the kitchen of the bakery, made cookies, and decorated cookies.  The event was amazing, and I couldn't wait to get more on the calendar. The tour was particularly interesting to me because the bakery still uses an oven that dates back to WWII.  We learned about their "old school" oven and how they have to make the parts to complete repairs.  The bakery also uses a balanced scale to measure and other tools that we don't often see anymore. Our first Moeller's Tour & Decorating Party was a huge success.  Kid Fun has since offered several tours, and they are one of our most popular events.  The sign ups for these tours literally fill up in a matter of seconds.  The spots go so fast that it is a "miracle" if you are able to get into one of these events. The reason that the Kid Fun members love this event is because of the bakery and it's staff.  Many businesses will not welcome a crowd of parents and children into their work space, but Moeller's Bakery invites Kid Fun in with open arms.

Visit the Bakery:

I highly recommended that you visit the bakery so that you can experience it first hand.  If you have not tasted their petit fours, it's a must.  You are sure to find something sweet for everyone, and I hope that you have the positive experience that we have had there.
